52-year-old charged with GBH



A man from Capel-le-ferne has been charged after an assault on another man in Hythe.

The attack occurred at the Red Lion Square in Hythe on Saturday evening and led to the victim being taken to hospital for facial injuries.

Max Hess, an eyewitness, told Kent Online that “I had heard from police that the victim’s injuries were serious but not life threatening”.

Mark Stephens, 52, is due in front Folkestone Magistrates’ Court for Grievous Bodily Harm.
