A lorry driver was sentenced to 18 months in jail at Canterbury Crown Court yesterday. In addition to this he has been banned from driving for 2 years and is being made to re take his test after this time.
Clifford Sparks, aged 52, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving and has left two families devastated, including the family of an Ashford dad of two.
The white lorry carrying many goods was driving towards Ashford last year when it collided with a green Renault. The collision happened in the Romney Marsh along the A2070.
