Ground force!

Durlocks Bank in Folkestone has finally received a face lift, thanks to the Harbour Ward Community Gardens.

According to This is Kent, the site was previously home to a host of illegal activity, with the clean up uncovering over 25 used needles. A shelter which played host to a range of illicit encounters has now been transformed into a tool shed.

The new 51 thousand pound allotments, which have received funding from the Roger de Haan Charitable Trust, will now house 500 new plants and 18 plantation beds.
