Businesses in Folkestone have fully booked Google’s sessions in the town as part of a series of one-to-one consultations.
Between the 23rd and 24th April, Google will be helping local businesses to get online, set up websites and learn how to sell products. After this, it is hoped that business owners will see a significant amount of their sales coming from online customers.
MP Damian Collins spoke of Google’s supported initiative, called ‘Getting British Business Online’, and said he hopes it will transform the fortunes of local businesses as they reach out to new customers.
The initiative in Folkestone has been the first of its kind in the South East.
