Kent beaches closed for swimmers

More than 20 Kent bathing beaches remained closed to swimmers over the weekend. The closure comes after the Thanet beaches failed the Environment Agency water quality test, due to Sewage and waste water being discharged into the sea. Kent council will continue monitoring the water to improve the situation and to replace the red flags back to blue flags.
