Man charged for drink driving



A man has been disqualified and fined £1500 for drink driving a HGV in Dover.

Lithuanian Romualdas Rocys, was three times over the drink-drive limit when he was stopped by police at the port of Dover.

Detective Inspector Bob Platt said: ‘A HGV is a deadly weapon in the wrong hands and the consequences of driving a lorry whilst drunk are severe.’

The 48 year old appeared from the police station via the Virtual Court system and has been banned from driving for 36 months and was ordered to pay £85 in costs.
