Award Winning School Radio

At a packed ceremony in Broadcasting House in May 2019, Academy FM was announced as Secondary School Station of the Year, at the inaugural Young Arias Awards. In addition to this, student presenter Taya Walters won the BBC Sounds Rising Talent Award for best presenter in her age group. 

 

In 2020 we won the Rising Talent award again, with Tia Brady, Isabel Keutenius and Ruby Goodyear's show winning Gold in an online ceremony during the Covid pandemic.
